The first contract within the project “Roofs of Belgrade” has been signed today, between Public enterprise “Gradsko stambeno” and representatives of the residential building at the address 1 Čede Mijatovića Street on Zvezdara. The project “Roofs of Belgrade” was developed as reaction of Public enterprise “Gradsko stambeno” to the large number of reports from the citizens relating to leaking of roofs and facades. Its realization will solve the leaking problems and the complete reconstruction of common areas of objects included in the project, which will be entirely executed by “Stambeno” as the investor, in exchange for the construction of flat, or adaptation of hip roofs.
All owners of apartments at the 1 Čede Mijatovića Street have unanimously agreed sign the contract with Public enterprise “Gradsko stambeno”. “We have chosen the Public enterprise “Gradsko stambeno” for it is the only company we would assign for these works, that we trust and behind which is the City”, said Snežana Antunović, president of the assembly of tenants, and added that the tenants, due to the financial situation, were not able to invest in the building since it was built in 1939, which is why it is in such a bad condition.
Slobodan Miljković, general manager of Public enterprise “Gradsko stambeno”, also addressed the gathering, and said: “The duty of Public enterprise “Gradsko stambeno” is to listen to the needs of its users, to communicate with them and produce the best solutions for problems of tenants in our maintenance system. The goal of this project is responsibility for people who trust us and who rely on us to solve their problems“, adding that the highest quality material will be used for adaptation of the building.
According to the today signed contract, Public enterprise “Gradsko stambeno” will, in addition to the roof adaptation, remove the facade and construct a new one with the appropriate thermo insulation, change the gutters and the distribution cabinet, paint the stairway walls, reconstruct the backyard, execute the hydro insulation and paving of the basement, while the entire basement space will be separated into individual rooms. Also, all mailboxes will be replaced.
