The Public Enterprise "Gradsko stambeno" organized exhibition and awards for children who won the Children's Painting Contest of this company within the theme "In my building we all live in harmony”. The exhibition and awarding ceremony was held in the City Assembly of Belgrade.
In October 2011, Public Enterprise "Gradsko stambeno" announced Children's Painting Contest for pupils of the first and second grade of elementary school and for preschool age children from Belgrade. Nearly two thousand drawings of preschoolers and school pupils were sent on the address of PE “Gradsko stambeno”. A jury selected the fifty nominees in both categories. The citizens voted via official website of the company for the best twenty-four drawings, twelve in the category from the first and second grade of primary schools and twelve from the category of pre-schools. Over five thousand votes were recorded. Best placed drawings are published on official calendar of PE “Gradsko stambeno” for 2012.
Deputy General Manager of the Public Enterprise "Gradsko stambeno" Veselin Markovic, welcomed the participants and especially thanked the teachers and educators, headmasters of preschools and schools, and the children for supporting Children's Painting Contest of PE “Stambeno”. Markovic said: "Last year we conducted a numerous actions related to the education of our youngest users in the field of security, culture, housing and environmental protection. Children's workshop "Our Town", a long-standing action "Elevator Is Not a Toy", celebrating the World Neighbors’ Day are just some of them. At the end of each year we organize Children's Painting Contest with great pleasure”.
All authors of drawings published on the calendar of PE “Stambeno” are rewarded with packets of drawing supplies, diploma and calendar. The winners of Children's Painting Contest are Una Mladenovic from Elementary School "Filip Filipovic" in the category of the first and second grade and Dimitrije Ankic from Preschool institution "Bosko Buha" - Kindergarten Veseljko in the category of preschools. The winners of the competition were awarded with diplomas, calendar of PE “Stambeno”, packet of drawing supplies, a voucher for a three-month school of drawing and a portable DVD player. Anja Rakovic from Elementary School "Dragan Lukic" and Luka Jovanovic from Preschool institution "Dr Simo Milosevic" - Kindergarten Cvrcak , beside certificates and calendars also got a voucher for a three-month school of drawing and book "Drawing and Painting" by Brian Bagnall. Luka Jelisavac from Elementary School “Dragan Lukic” and Ivona Bradaševic from Preschool institution "Bosko Buha" – Kindergarten Veseljko who took third place on this competition, also were awarded with drawing school voucher.
